ABOUT US

Tees Valley Measurement is a statutory Weights & Measures Authority based in Middlesbrough, North-East England. Established by a regional group of Trading Standards authorities in 1996 we perform statutory duties for Unitary Authorities and County Councils in an extended area from Yorkshire, the Tees Valley to the Durham Coast.

In addition to our statutory functions we provide low cost calibration and legal metrology services to private industry locally, nationally and internationally.

Our laboratories have been purpose built to accomodate all our measurement functions under one roof, our high specification mass laboratory at the heart of the complex was specifically designed to minimise any outside interferences affecting our high precision measurements, meanwhile our huge indoor tanker bays allow us to calibrate two road tankers at the same time without any exposure to the weather.
