Tees Valley Measurement have facilities to calibrate, inspect and verify a diverse range of bulk liquid measuring equipment and container vessels these may be vehicle mounted or static.

Using high-precision reference meters fully traceable to National Reference Standards we are able to deliver water or a range of hydrocarbon liquids into the compartment under test. Optical probes fixed onto overhead gantries can measure the distance from the datum surface to the surface of the fluid in a compartment at accuracies of ±1mm. Alternatively, we can test and verify the performance of meter measuring systems at speeds up to 800 litres per minute, recently we have also developed a unique facility to test gravity based delivering systems.

Other resources include a dipstick cutting service and a mobile testing rig equipped with hydrocarbon and water meters allowing on-site calibration of fixed vessels. We also perform statutory verifications in accordance with Regulations made under the Weights & Measures Act 1985.
