Bulk Fuel Regulations Training Course
This course is designed to introduce you to the regulations pertaining to the design, construction and use of road tankers which carry liquid fuel, together with the 'background' systems which support the traceability and accuracy of their calibration and verification as fit for use for trade purposes. After attending this course you should be able to:
- Identify the four measurement systems defined in Regulations
- Describe the verification process for compartments and for replacement dipsticks
- Trace the hierarchy of the standards and testing equipment required for verifications
- Understand the environmental conditions that have to be controlled, or allowed for, when making accurate liquid measurements
- Describe the construction and use of a typical positive displacement reference meter, and its calibration curve, with regard to repeatability, linearity and accuracy
During the course delegates will be able to examine hands-on various bulk fuel measuring systems and testing equipment and observe the verification of a road tanker (both meter measuring system & dispstick measuring system).
