Tees Valley Measurement is jointly owned and operated by four local authorities in the Tees Valley area, we provide these partner authorities with statutory Weights & Measures functions. We also provide similiar statutory functions for other local authorities in the region, in total, we cover cover a very large geographical area and serve a substantial population.
Tees Valley Measurement was originally established to provide Trading Standards measurement and calibration services for the local heavy industries of chemicals, steel, oil, gas and petrochemicals. However, as our reputation has grown as a quality and reliable low cost calibration service many of our 500+ customers are now based from outside the local area and we regularly calibrate items from all parts of the UK and other European contries.
